Position: Quote Desk Clerk
Effective: Immediately
Salary: Starting at £18k per annum, negotiable for the right experience
Location: Your place of work is at our UK Office in Yeovil. Must have own transport. Please note we are working in a COVID safe enviroment in the office as we are a critical service.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with one hour for lunch (to be taken between 12-2pm)
 
Work Scope:
Core responsibility will be to create and manage Quotes for M&B’s Customers and Prospects. You will interact with customers, brokers, co-loaders, shipping lines and overseas agents/office daily. The role will be to create Microsoft Word quotes utilising M&B Templates, Prices Lists and Tools, ensuring that all Client information is accurately inputted, and that pricing is correct according to the current month’s tariffs . You will work closely with the Compliance Director and In-country Agents for complex countries which requires completing forms and sending them to companies around the world to obtain further pricing.
 
You will also be required to maintain M&B’s CRM software ensuring that all quotes are recorded correctly. You will send quotes to the clients in a timely and professional fashion. There is the opportunity to progress within the company and grow your role.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Hold primary responsibility for Quote Requests
  • Manage Quote Register to ensure Quote Numbers are correctly recorded
  • Create accurate Quotes on Word Template
  • Utilise online tools for calculating Taxes and Duties
  • Ensure that the correct Import documents requirements and timescales are correctly inputted
  • Input & Manage Salesforce to ensure Quotes are recorded
  • Work with Compliance Director on Complex locations
  • Obtain quotes from In Country Agents
  • Understand the Import/Export for AIR/SEA/ROAD process/documentations foir Dual Use Strategic Goods
  • Basic understanding of EOR/IOR Services and the Competitive Market place
  • Customer Service/Basic Account Management/Sales Order Processing
  • Work closely with customers, colleagues and third parties to ensure smooth operations
  • Work with different currencies
